You don't ever have an obligation to do anything - you buy only what you want, when you want it. When you sign up for Playboy Wine you also have free access to tasting notes, special event opportunities and information about the world of great wine. And one more thing: always be on the look-out for our bonus credits - which you can use the same as cash - that will mysteriously appear in your account from time-to-time.
When you place your order, Playboy Wine immediately routes it through to our third party fulfillment company who ships it to you in a completely recyclable carton with arrival projected in 10 - 14 business days. For most states, we provide a tracking number early in the process and, once it leaves the dock (which may take a few days) you can track it every step of the way. One thing to remember is that, since it is an alcoholic beverage, it is important that someone over 21 is available to sign for it when it arrives - it can't be delivered any other way.

There are some states that don't allow shipment of alcoholic beverages and there are others that make it pretty difficult. While the state requirements are always changing and it makes good sense to check back for a status update periodically, right now we can only ship to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, D.C., DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, LA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, SC, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI and WY.
Wine is heavy and it is fragile but we subsidize the cost so it isn't so bad, particularly when you buy multiple bottles at once. A single bottle will cost you $13.95 for delivery but a case of 12 bottles is only $19.95. Remember also to be on the look-out for special offers, some of which include shipping as a special bonus.
Someone over the age of 21 will need to sign for the shipment when it arrives so if you can't be there, either have it sent to a different location (office or friend) or have someone else of legal age be there to sign for it. We will provide a tracking number to you via email as soon as we get one so you can track it and our courier normally attempts delivery 3 times and leaves a delivery slip if they miss you. The courier will generally hold the packages for 5 days for you to give you time to pick it up. If all else fails, you can always contact the Playboy Wine Consultant and they'll help you as best as possible. Unfortunately, if a package does get returned, there is a $22 re-stocking fee and all shipping costs are non-refundable - and nobody wants it to come to that!
Extreme heat or cold can adversely impact the quality of any wine; we work diligently with the shipping companies to take steps to ensure that shipments arrive in the same condition that they left the cellar. If you are purchasing wine during periods of extreme hot or cold weather, you will be offered the opportunity to request a 30 day hold at checkout.
All of our wines have been tasted and re-tasted by some of the best experts in the industry but wine is a subjective thing - what one person may love another may not view quite the same way. Also, while we work hard to ensure that wines arrive in the same conditions they leave the cellar there are times that it doesn't happen that way. The main thing you need to know is that, if a wine doesn't meet your expectations for any reason, please contact us immediately and we will do what it takes to make it right.
